Privacy Policy

BattlePens collects no personal data whatsoever. There are no accounts, no sign-in, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking of any kind. The game never connects to the internet on its own.
This policy covers the BattlePens mobile game for Android, published by Lee Arnould ("we", "us"). If anything below is unclear, write to commander@battlepens.com.
What we collect
Nothing. We do not collect, receive, store or transmit any personal information about you. We could not identify a single player of this game if we tried.
What is kept on your device
The game remembers a few small things, stored on your phone and nowhere else:
- whether you have dismissed the instructions
- whether you have turned the game's sounds off
- the score of the run you are in the middle of, so closing the game doesn't lose it
That is the whole of it. None of it is sent anywhere, none of it identifies you, and starting a new sheet clears the score again. Uninstalling the app removes the lot.
These never leave your device, are not readable by us, and are removed when you uninstall the app.
Sharing a picture of your game
If you tap Share, the game makes an image of the sheet you have been playing on and hands it to your phone's own sharing panel. We do not send it anywhere and we never see it. Where it goes is entirely up to which app you choose, and that app's own privacy policy then applies.
The tip jar
The notes in the game carry a Buy me a coffee button. The artwork is stored inside the app, so nothing is loaded from anywhere and nobody knows the button was there unless you press it. If you do, your phone's browser opens our page on buymeacoffee.com and you leave the game behind — anything that happens from that point is between you and Buy Me a Coffee, under their privacy policy, not ours. We are told nothing about who pressed it.
Children
The game is suitable for all ages. Since it collects no data from anybody, it collects no data from children either.
Your rights
Data protection law gives you rights to access, correct and erase personal data held about you. We hold none, so there is nothing to access, correct or erase. Uninstalling the app removes the settings listed above from your device.
Changes to this policy
If the game ever starts doing something that affects your privacy, this page will be updated before that version is released, and the date at the top will change.
