BattlePens is a game about flicking a pen across a piece of paper. These are the terms on which you may use it. They are deliberately short.
Using the game
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use BattlePens on devices you own or control, for your own enjoyment. You may not sell it, rent it, take it apart, or pass it off as your own.
What it costs
Nothing. All of it is free — every game, both players, no adverts, and nothing to buy inside it.
There is a Buy me a coffee button on the notes in the game. That is a tip, not a purchase: it buys you nothing, unlocks nothing, and the game is exactly the same whether you press it or not. It is handled by Buy Me a Coffee under their own terms.
What we promise
Only that the game will be roughly as described here. It is provided as it is, without any warranty. We can't promise it will run on every device, or that it will never have a bug in it. If it does, tell us and we will probably fix it.
Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
Changes
The game will change — that is what updates are. If these terms change, the date at the top of this page changes with them.
Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any dispute — though as a consumer you keep any right you have to bring proceedings where you live.
